Many years ago, I began working in the adult sex industry offering sensual, Tantra massages for men. I started to notice that all my clients were married men and had to ask myself, “Why are all these men seeking outside their relationship for some kind of sexual gratification?”
And I also thought, “Men are dogs. They’re not faithful… they’ll cheat anytime they think they can get away with it. Men are animals!” I really thought pretty poorly of them – and of myself. Thing is, at that time I really didn’t care. I was a single mom with two children to support and it was very good money.
Things are very different these days. Now I work with women who want to be more sexual with their partners.
What I began to notice back then was that my way of working was very different from the many women I knew in the adult industry. I worked with my client’s energy as well as their physical body. It was more nurturing and healing. I connected with my clients on a very different level and as a result they started to confide in me.
I grew curious to why these men looked outside their marriages for human touch, sex, nurturing and someone to listen to them. I started asking questions about what was missing in their relationships and what they wanted with their wives.
And they told me.
I struggled with the shame I felt for what I had been doing for so long, forgetting that sex work is one of the oldest professions, and that sacred prostitutes were part of every ancient community.
They were highly regarded women and actual healers. My own healing began when I met and worked with other women and men, who were doing the same kind sexual energy work I did.
My feelings about my work continued to shift as men began telling me I’d helped them stay in their marriages, or that they had never been touched the way I touched them and they felt cared about.
Many men have told me they admired me and other women for the work we do and for the safe haven we provide them to escape to.
Today, I’ve worked with thousands of men, who would love to be closer and physically intimate with their wives. I have become a certified sex educator and am working on a clinical sexology certification to obtain more clinical knowledge in Human sexuality.
I now see a much greater purpose and possibility here – one where I can make a much greater and lasting impact on the relationships of my clients. My intention is, rather than console the men … to help heal partnerships … to help women who want to be sexual with their partners and to become all they were born to be in the bedroom and beyond.
My work is sacred and provides healing from the lack of something all humans need, Human Touch.
